Pegalos logo redesign
The emblem was always meant to represent a window to expansion, and to always be expanding and creative. We wanted to preserve this with the modernization of our logo.
Our problem with the previous design.
The previous logo was too harsh and complicated to clearly convey a message to the viewer, while our original meaning still stood. The center represented a window for things to come, yet the overcomplicated ring caused viewers to get confused and made it hard to focus on the meaning.
We were looking for a solution to this issue, and we wanted to soften our branding so it’s more inviting and is more sizeable for different interface types.
Why this design?
The old ring hid the window. This mark is the window, so it stays readable small and can bend for different divisions without a new icon.
Our reason for such an abstract design is to convey curiosity and uniqueness. We want the viewer to look at the logo and wonder what it represents and to find a meaning for themselves.
Alternative variations.
Now, with this simpler design, we can create more logo variations for different divisions inside of Pegalos, such as our cybersecurity and gaming division. We subtly sharpened the logo to make it seem more focused and angular.
We can create even more variations in the future if we desire, and still convey the same core message. This new logo has helped us stay flexible and more inviting towards people curious about Pegalos.
Typography
Our current typography (Roboto Flex) is meant to be bold and unique, to convey presence and integrity.
We needed to pair the bold logo with a bold typeface, and while we have previously used other typefaces, we felt like this one best suited Pegalos.
